Not point making major changes if they'll need to update it again a few months down the line anyway due to a company wide rebrand. Maybe that's what's going on?

Channel 5 is broadcasting the 'BAFTA Britannia Awards' from the US on Sunday at 10pm.

I have to say, with Sian Williams making her debut on 5 News yesterday, Celebrity Big Brother starting its January run today and Lip Sync Battle UK starting on Friday I really thought this would've been rebrand week. Hmm.

I think it was planned to be, but with Channel 5 HD coming in the next few weeks perhaps they are holding off until then? Or they might do a Channel 4 and announce randomly that a new look is coming at 9pm before Big Brother and we will all be surprised.

I think that's unlikely, as all the pre-promotion, BB idents/breakbumpers will be out of place and they wouldn't have designed it all to stop using it before the series begins.

I'm guessing end of January, or it might possibly be when 10,000 BC starts (although again there is pre-promotion).

I see CH5 got in a one min promo for the new series of X files coming in February. Thats alot of new stuff coming in then.

And another longer promo before the adbreak, previewing all the new programmes on the channel. The font was thinner aswell between each programme 'preview'. 2 very nice promos, better than what you usually see.

I thought myself the promo was going to end with the new logo or a new endboard, but it was just the traditional Channel 5 one. The promo still had big letters on screen and featured red, so I hope that this isn't what part of the new look will be. It's too similar to what we have and it looks boring.

Where did you guus hear about a new Channel 5 logo?

There's been nothing to suggest a new look is on the way.

Except when channel controller Ben Frow announced there was a new look coming several months ago.
