Anyone else think Al Jazeera have been taking inspiration from GVL3?

Has anyone else been having problems accessing /news and /sport on bbc.co.uk on and off for the past few weeks? /tv, /weather and /iplayer all load fine, but the news and sport sites frequently just 'hang' mid-download. This occurs on all browsers - and in IE you can view the partially downloaded source.

No, no problems on any browser, either at home, work or abroad.

Well lets face it, the new BBC GVL is hardly original. Big square blocks of colour and prolific use of Helvetica/Arial? Wooooo......

The Webcam popup on the Radio 1 site has had a bit of a makeover.

Looks very orange!

Been like that for a few months now.

Actually, I've looked at the webcam several times over the past couple of days so it definitely is new.

It's a few weeks old - I made a note of it.

Yeah, last few weeks.

What is nice though is they've started embedding the EMP of the live webcam on the homepage when there's a big guest/live lounge - so when they go "see us with __ on the livecam" they replace the featured content slider with the player. Small thing, but it's good.
