BBC Music have launched an app, for music content. Interesting development, but can't help but feel that it's been done so that the Corporation can make the most of iPlayer expired content. There's an awful lot of material collated over the past few years that's suddenly got a platform again. Like it, but the competition could reasonably challenge the concept. If it makes it to Connected TV directly, rather than via cast, I can see real issues arising.
The BBC Sport App for Connected Devices has been revised today, it now features HQ streams for some content as the iPlayer does, however I suspect the real reason is that the prominent 'live' content has been removed from the front page. A Home tab is available but on two of my devices doesn't naturally appear first. I suspect that the rights reductions made the tab on the old app look redundant for many days so retiring it seemed clear. Live content discovery would seem to need navigating to the relevant sport as per the BBC Sport website pages.
I wonder how much longer it'll be before the weather site finally gets the responsive layout makeover. The new layout has been available via the mobile website for many months, though looking via my PC it still looks far from completion.

Agree it is making the live content less prominent though it is easy enough to find when something is actually happening. Like all revamps initial thoughts were that is wasn't as user friendly but ultimately it's not that much different and I think the text content especially is easier to find.
Nobody seems to have set the BBC News website back an hour, last hour it had the [LIVE] BBC News Channel link, this hour (2300) it has says [LIVE] BBC News at Ten and The World Tonight.
Huh? The clocks went forward, but apparently they did theirs twice. That's odd.
Yeah sorry, I meant to say the clocks went forward but I can never remember which way they're going on the day let alone afterwards. Nonetheless the clock is clearly wrong for all programmes - now (1130) it says [LIVE] Victoria Derbyshire which finished half and hour ago.
