At the moment the on the new site the 'Previous home page' link has now vanished. The old home page still loads though at present, assuming you hadn't set the new home page as default (or use a different browser).

either way I notice my homepage has finally stopped showing BBC1 London and is now showing listings for BBC1 Scotland.

and possibly even more exciting news

hopefully this (and me concerting all my real files into xvid the othet week) will result in an excuse to finally banish anything real from my PC forever. YAY

Oh God, it's not going to force me to do that is it? I want to know what's on proper BBC One, not some crap from the provinces that they call BBC One Wales.

EDIT: Ah, just noticed it's put me in the North West region even though I've put my Wrexham postcode in. I'm happy with that. Most people here watch BBC North West on analogue though as they cover North Wales better than BBC Cardiff.

is is me, or does it look too chunky? i liked the old layout, and if you link to any of the news pages, it is the old layout.

also, when it loads up, it takes a second or two to apply your own settings.

i suppose it will grow on us, but not happy

Is it really that much to ask the BBC to get their own logo right?!?! They are continually making a balls of it on their TV channels, now even the main BBC logo on the front page of their own website is wrong!

The first 'B' is wider/larger than the second.

They're going to have to rebuild pages - most of them won't work with the new design.

Indeed.

Hazarding a guess by looking at the URLs and the source, it looks like the BBC are going to start using a content manager to manage the website pages.

The problem here is that everything else was coded statically, and therefore has to be moved into the CMS.
