People complain when they drop series half way through. I think they are right to carry on showing series which get less ratings than they hoped for especially as they are quite short series of 6-8 episodes. Its not as if they are on for 20 weeks or something.

Sorry if this has been mentioned, but has anyone else noticed that ITV2 have used the "new" style ECP?

They can only use it on Corrie, Emmerdale and The Bill at the moment, in the same way that ITV1 can, but I've seen it used quite a lot. I still wish that they'd go one way or another with an ECP design. Even though illegible the BBC's always use the one template, and also give the producer individual choice.

ITV should take control over the text, the text size etc but I think the producers should be allowed the final say on a background otherwise it should just be solid black to get rid of those hideous blue bars. One good thing about the end credits on ITV is that the font remains the same size even when they are advertising on one side of the screen, then it just moves back.

My thinking for producers being able to choose a background comes from shows such as Ant & Dec and Dancing on Ice where the show continues and the credits go over. It looks a lot better.

Anyone see the ITN clock/holding screen/screen saver just before the 3rd part of All Star Mr and Mrs?

What should have been there? I can't imagine they would do a trail for the next news which isn't on until 11:05 tonight. What else do ITN playout?

Britain's Got Talent got 10.3m last night for the second audition episode. That is amazing! Imagine what it will reap later on!

Quite enjoyed Beat the Star - now that felt like a classic ITV format, and good to see these challenge formats beginning to return where people have to do things to win, not just be voted the winner. I wonder if this is the show ITV rejected Gladiators for.

I agree. I loved it. Its nice to see a traditional weekend show on ITV again. Hope it does well in the ratings as this is just the sort of show ITV need more of.
