It’s a shame across the board, with no new idents on any of ITVs channels (to my knowledge), especially ITV2 who after a few years of lovely idents don’t seem to have bothered at all since 2013, even though they have an Ident set that seems like it could be easily have been adapted for Christmas.

One additional note not mentioned - Unless I've just missed this before (as I wouldn't profess to remember every single one), they seem to have changed the music tracks a little on some of these new ones as well. Video from the 10.25 junction here. It definitely seems based on one of the existing set of tracks, but I can't decide whether this is a new remix or just a different segment of an existing longer piece that they rarely use. But it adds a nice extra touch nonetheless.

Nice updated idents, nice to be out of the studio, however...totally spoiled by this bloody useless announcer. Shouty, awful pace, terrible delivery of the lines. I convinced this guy gets worse every duty he does.
You would have thought by now he would have learned to deliver his lines in a clear and calm pace and tone from fellow colleagues Andrea & Andrew.

Totally agree - the wonderful Trish Bertram wrote an excellent piece on the qualities a good announcer needs - the powers that be at ITV might consider leaving a copy or two in the ITV continuity booth.
Liking the new ident, and like other have said it's nice to have it feature outside. I hope that's a recurring theme this year.
Also came to say about how bad that announcer is. Surely to be an announcer you have to be able to speak properly and clearly and say things correctly. He couldn't even say Torville right, sounded like he says 'torviell. Do ITV honestly think he's suitable? Well clearly they must as he's been in the job for a while now.

Yes he is awful. His voice may be more suited to 2 or Be.
