Purely speculative however.

I'm informed that it's true, Piers has made it awkward for them

Oh. That's ridiculous. So instead of talking to the person attacking someone's mental issues and taking serious action they cut ties with the UKs foremost mental health company. This is going to reflect horribly on ITV if true.

It's probably the other way round.

I don't think it would be. Piers has a much larger influence (being lead 'presenter' on 'Britian's most talked about show') than a mental health charity that they've partnered with out of goodwill.

That would be a absolutely terrible look for ITV and would make the entire campaign look like a gimmick to try and draw goodwill after Jeremy Kyle/Love Island.

It would be a typical "cooperates cashing in to look like the good guys" plot.

If ITV drop their mental health campaign because Piers Morgan’s comments have made it untenable, it evidences the fact it was nothing more than a PR campaign in the first instance.

I’ve no doubt what is more important to them (it’s not the campaign), but given the Jeremy Kyle and Love Island situation, ITV and it’s programming are in somewhat volatile position. Given the seriousness of the Jeremy Kyle situation in particular (and what happened in the production of that program), ITV could have come off really rather worse.

I’ve no doubt Good Morning Britain is doing a world of good for ITV’s income, but they ought to be really quite careful.

I think the ending of the Get Britain Talking thing might be a co-incidence,. Firstly if they were pulled because of Piers' comments then it was done bloody quick as they didn't appear during Lorraine and possibly not GMB either.

Secondly, the slogan referenced 'stay at home', maybe they were meant to end on Monday with the first phase of restrictions?

Seems odd that they were removed yesterday evening. They were using the 'Britian Get Talking' versions yesterday morning.

Looking on TV Home they were not using the Britain's Get Talking bumpers either before yesterday's ITV Lunchtime News or The Chase

So like you say if they were pulled, they were pulled very quickly, maybe the current campaign has just come to an end?
