The (old) ITV News Thread

This weekend sees Fiona Foster presenting on the all the main bulletins on Saturday, and Joyce Ohajah presenting on Sunday.
Also, Mark Webster will be doing overnight on the News Channel

I was out jogging with my Abforce belt tonight and I saw Chris Rogers in the Grays Inn Road, heading quite rapidly south towards Holborn just after 7pm, with a mobile phone clamped to his ear.

Off for a meal in the middle of his shift?

Well we all must aplogise to Trevor McDonald. We thought he was slacking this week, but it turns out the reason he wasn't on News at Ten was because he went to New York for a Tonight Special!

Also Sunday's schedule is apparantly:

0700 - 0800 Owen Thomas
0800 - 1030 Lauren Taylor
1030 - 1100 Joyce Ohajah
1100 - 1300 Lauren Taylor
1300 - 1400 Rachel McTavish
1400 - 1500 Joyce Ohajah
1500 - 1815 Rachel McTavish
1815 - 1830 ITV Early Evening News with Joyce Ohajah
1830 - 2000 Sasha Herriman
2000 - 2100 Joyce Ohajah
2100 - 2305 Sasha Herriman
2305 - 2315 ITV Late News with Joyce Ohajah
2315 - 0000 Joyce Ohajah

Which must be wrong as Joyce is unlikely to be working 14 hours!

Indeed, as also 10:30 is Football Extra. I think OT will do overnight.

PS to save bandwidth I have left the ITV News Channel logo in BMP format whereas I have jpeg'd the rest to allow quicker loading but you get the idea and qualtiy with the first one!

Hmmmm, and how can you distinguish the ITV News Channel, from ITV News Channel ie. ITV News in the Channel region ?

Please please please can someone try to capture the Late ITV News tonight (Saturday) with Fiona Foster presenting. I have never seen her present for ITV NEWS as I live in France, and would love to see her do it.

The DTT EPG for the NC is still messed up - the Digital 3&4 mux is still transmitting Wednesday 20 August's information.

So Joyce Oharja is on the ITV Weekend News.

If they are short of presenters at weekends, how come we never get "The ITV Weekend News with Owen Thomas" or "... with Sasha Herriman"

I wonder if the ITN voiceover man has recorded these announcements just in case it ever did happen. Also I think they just use the voiceover at the top of the hour on the News Channel

But she did not present overnight. Perhaps Owen likes presenting overnight?

Hmm. the back half of the hour tonight is a Sasha Herriman repeat again.
