I don't think any ITV weather is done live with the exception of those done on the plasma in the studio, and I'm not sure they are either.

That picture looks to be from this morning rather than the main programme, as Jon doesn't have a tie on.

Whereas he did for Calendar tonight albeit one belonging to John Shires!

Well hopefully they've ditched the plasmas now - looks so much better CSO.

Crikey Bob Crampton sounded as though he put random words together in the hope they would make some sense.

Also, I think all weather forecasts excluding GMB National are recorded..

The clip above of Westcountry weather shows that they haven't. They've never used the plasma on Calendar.

They didn't half make it obvious that its recorded on Calendar tonight, cut straight from Jon at the plasma to Jon at the CSO after the sponsorship sting on the East edition. Oddly the new weather sting now calls it the Calendar Weather, then up pops the sponsorship sting calling it the Yorkshire Weather (as it's been called for years) then up pops a map of mostly Lincolnshire and a tiny bit of Yorkshire.

Ever since they updated the West Country set last year, they've used the plasmas. It's annoying really as CSO looks so much better.

That bloke who does Central weather seems a bit of a character, is he new?

I note that Jon Mitchell instead of showing his Twitter handle under his name, instead says "meteorologist".

They usually have a charade of Jon having to run off to his weather map, even though it's obviously recorded.

The weather is the last bastion of the old ITV regional names. Don't they still have ITV London Weekend Weather?

At least they do it somewhat front on rather than the awkward side shot used by many regions.

I see they've already uploaded the Granada weather but here's my recording of it anyway. The picture on the last page of the thread with all the ITV regions must be from earlier in the day as the Granada forecaster here is Kerrie Gosney.

ITV London forecast, including the pre-forecast chat. Apologies for some pixelation in parts of this video.

That terrible syndicated weather montage again, that was meaningless in the most part to most viewers.

Martin Stew not being very subtle about the BBC/Met Office thing.

The problem I have with this sort of shading of the map is understanding whether light green or dark green is cloud. The whiter green feels like it should be cloud, but it's apparently the darker green. Probably just me.
