A report from the FT last year says the new deals are meant to start in October this year.

The Guardian are reporting today that the new provider commences in June 2017

And when could we start seeing the use of this on ITV?

ITV are launching new weather graphics this autumn.

Lucy Versamy seems to be the main weather forecaster for ITV at the moment, with Alex Beresford hosting every now and again, whilst Amanda Houston and Manali Lukha seem to be weekend and relief.

It's been a while since Becky Mantin last appeared.

She's on maternity leave returning late summer, I think I read on Twitter.

Will we see this new service soon on the rest of ITV or is this for STV specifically?

Not sure when it launches but ITV Weather's new look is basically identical to the BBC. The only differences I could see is the map being green and the clock above rather than beside the day. Oh and the temperatures are round, not square. I wonder if they are using the same company - even the animations are very similar.

Do the Met Office provide the graphics for ITV's weather? I wonder if they have chose to use the Met Office's new graphics system that STV have recently introduced a few weeks ago.

Judging by the stills I can see online it doesn't look that similar. The new ITV graphics are much more like the Beeb - no symbols (apart from the outlook), shading for cloud, blue for rain. The day and time are also boxed like the BBC.

Stills of STV's new weather forecasts I mean, not ITV. I saw ITV internally.
