I must say I like the Met Office's weather presentation a whole lot better than what appears on the BBC which is,overly simplistic. Seems they took a page from the likes of The Weather Company's (formerly WSI) Max ecosystem and and VizRt.

Thought I'd repost AxG's post about the new ITV Weather graphics:

The sneak peak looks very up to date, like it.

So it looks like ITV are using the same graphics that STV have recently introduced but tweaked to ITV spec.

Isn't that Claire Ashford who was on Granada reports?

It's all very BBC isn't it. I must say although it looks smarter, I did like the fact that ITV had stuck to the old fashioned weather symbols.

Yes, she is freelance now. I don't find her warming at all. Not like little titchy Gaynor.

Claire Ashforth. Yes, she presents Calendar very occasionally, every couple of months.

It did make sense in reaction to the BBC's changes but I think they do look quite dated now. Just hope the regions go back to CSO - can't understand how anyone thinks presenting the weather from a screen at an awkward angle is good for the viewer.
