Was it a Y&L ident that they had a clip of? I seem to remember when LN had a feature about one of the Acrobats being local they used the local version (probably because they had that to hand)

No it was the standard BBC ONE one

A cockup at 5.30pm

The Calendar bed played cleanly by itself where the promo usually is, and then faded into the 'Calendar at 6.00' sting as normal, so obviously a cockup there

Not quite as bad as that time when they managed to broadcast the content of the studio vertical plasma during this 30 second space

On to Calendar itself, Friday's show is usually a good one, and tonight Kerrie Gosney made her first appearance on the show. I don't know why though as Debbie Lindley was on Granada.

With Celebrity Chef Brian Turner in the region talking about the UK's most popular dish Calendar dusted off the Tonight Kitchen and did the end of the programme here, so actually used three sets during the programme!

Meanwhile on Look North and Helen Willets did Breakfast Weather

We got a bit of a cock up in the East at the start of the ten tonight. The Acrobats soundtrack continued to play over the first headline, varing in volume as though someone was fadding it up and down before finally stopping at the first big drum beat. Then the sound from the last healine from look north continued for a few seconds over the opening titles.

Brian Turner was also on Look North, in the studio. Lisa did the Look North weather on the 18:30.

BREAKING NEWS: I am already suffering 'absence of Hudson blues'!

There's someone called Paul Hudson who's always ringing and texting in to Janice Long/Lynn Parsons/Janey Lee Grace [i.e. the women] overnight on Radio 2, and it's always to say something sickening and obsequious like, "Oooooo Janey thank you for the photos, aren't you a stunner" etc.. He's done it at least twice this week alone, including last night.
