I belive that the stage is still there, but there is an office/offices on it.
It's actually where John Shires and company sit - the sports team next to the bosses office!
who is the 'boss' of Calendar, is that Clare Morrow or Mark Witty or both?
The big boss is Clare Morrow who is the director of programmes but the day to day running of the newsroom is down to Will Venters and Charlotte Milligan.

Will Venters, doesn't he also report for The Goal Rush on a Saturday
Unlike Granada Reports, Calendar don't have any credits at the end, so viewers don't know who the producer, director, editor is etc

It's Will Venters voice at the beginning of Calendar saying "Calendar is presented tonight by xxxx and xxxxx"
2 presenter changes tonight on Look North - Danny Savage presented the lunchtime show, and Helen Philpot stood in for Helen Morton on the Belmont 18:30 and will do so again tomorrow!!
Tonights late headlines from Calendar are being done from the bulletin studio, presumably as the main studio is getting ready for tonight's election programme, which is on YTV at 11.30pm
Geoff Druett and Tim Iredale will be ancoring the coverage with reporters around the region at all the important places, including Michelle Gee in York as I speak
There is also a regional programme at 10.30pm tonight as well, very early for a Thursday night slot!
talking about BBC Local Radio for a moment, Look North's John Cundy is hosting the live coverage on BBC Radio Leeds between 10pm and 1am, which replaces the usual Alex Hall Late Show
On Look North, how long have they had Paul doing the weather on the 10.25pm bulitin? Last time I watched they just stuck a caption up and talked over it. DOes the Leeds version get the same?

The Look North Election Round-up was just on, presented by Cathy Killick in the studio with Len Tingle in Calderdale and Phil Connell in Sheffield and a nervous women somewhere else
The YTV Election special is also now on...
Presented by Tim Iredale (was Christine Talbot last year)
with Gail Mellors with a laptop computer (this was Tim's role last year)
Jason McCartney "more used to dealing with football results" has all the latest election results in the newsroom (Faye did this last year)
Geoff Druett is hosting a mini version of Around the House on the soft set
Also Tim was stood in the middle so we could see where the soft set is in relation to the desk set!
It looks like all leave was cancelled on Calendar, as there are loads of reporters out and about...
Chris Kiddey in Calderdale, Julie Lockwood in Chesterfield, Fiona Dwyer in Hull, Michelle Gee in York, Lindsay Eastwood in Harrogate and Peter McNerney in Sheffield
that Tim Iredale is quite a good presenter really don't you think, he's probably better than when Christine did it last year
Well he's getting experience by presenting more programming!
I don't think politics is really Christine Talbot's thing so its best if she doesn't do it whereas Tim often presents Around the House, but then again I thought politics wasn't Jason McCartney's thing either!
