Norris trying to do that flicking thing with his hand copying his new unlikely friend as well *chuckle*.
Norris and Blanche can be brilliant at times.

Also, this break thingy I caught -- it's clever how they make the streets go back and back like that, cos I'm assuming all that isn't part of the set. Not sure what that road at the back with the Don Brennan scorch marks is called, it's not Rosamund St. Hmm, anyway.

Viaduct Street is that one, not sure what is meant to be behind it parrallel, possibly Crimea Street or something!

Sorry for dragging up a post from May, but behind Viaduct Street is Jubilee Terrace and Weatherfield Quays, etc. etc.

Today's Sunday Mirror reports that Martin will be the victim of a murder bid after the breaks on his car are tampered with. The culprit isn't Tommy as you may think but Craig, Katies brother.

Tommy hit's the bottle and quits his job, and the family is driven apart and Craig blames Martin. The episodes are to be screened two weeks before Christmas.

Guys – I thought tonight’s Corrie was brilliant. Especially the scenes between Tracey and Peter. For the first time, you got to see things from Tracey’s point of view. Not that it excuses her or anything, but it was interesting for a change. And how lovely is Peter ???

I agree - excellent stuff. And the Croppers were right - Tracyluv will do anything for money!

Yeah - but poor Tracey. Think she really likes Steve, and was really on the verge of telling him tonight, but the combination of the Croppers being so desperate and Steve being so obviously in love with Karen meant she had no choice. Really beginning to feel sorry for her !!

I agree, tonights episodes were really good - especially the scenes between Tracey and Peter - I only wished she told Steve the baby was his.

I think Kate Ford is a great actress and I hope she wins Best Newcomer at the awards tommorow night.

I'm not liking this Croppers give all their money to Tracey business, we already had Roy going to the bank a few weeks ago and drawing out all his money, now it's happened again. No doubt they'll string it out for months before the Croppers find out it was Steve's, I'm not sure I'm liking the way this storyline seems to be heading

I have to agree with you there, the first 15 minutes or so of the 8.30pm were very good, even though it was just the talk between Peter and Tracey it was very good viewing, but towards the end it got too predictable, more boring money handovers, but even though it looked like she had changed when she was talking to Peter, we saw the old Tracey back at the end of the episode, which was good.

Plus it looks like that Roy Cropper is getting his jumpers from the same store as Gyles Brandreth.

I loved tonights episode when all was revealed in the Rovers about Tracey's baby. Im looking forward to seeing what happens next, ive heard the truth about it being Steve's baby comes out at Xmas - although thats 8 weeks away.

Oon Saturday night we have a revised repeat of the program "Seven Days that Shook the Street" - it was shown last year but has been updated with new stuff including the Todd/Nick kiss.

Id have to agree about the Ted/Rita storyline actually, but then storylines with terminal illness's are always depressing to watch. He wont be in it
for too much longer anyway. I dont remember a lot of this storyline from the first time it was shown on ITV, all I remember is Rita telling Audrey about it.
The storyline with Emily is quite good too - again I remember bits of this but not much although I did watch Corrie back in 1992 its amazing how much you forget.

Well no-one has been talking about it for a while and this weeks episodes on Granada Plus have been very good, it seems to be getting better and better.

But I'm rather sad I noticed this but in one of the episodes which went out the other day, in the Rovers there's a Charity box, which rather unsuprisingly has 'ITV Telethon 92' on it, I assume these episodes have been going out at the same time as the Telethon?

ITV Telethon 92 was in mid July 1992, although this time it was on a Saturday and Sunday, instead of the whitsun Sunday and Monday of the first two.

There was a special episode of Coronation Street - Bettabuys day out, just for Telethon 1992.

As for Coronation Street itself, on the first two telethons, the normal episodes hadn't been taken into account as far as continuity was concerned, as they didn't show the episodes intended for both holiday Mondays until the Wednesday, and were an episode behind for a number of weeks. It was unheard of in those days to put a double episode together to put things back in order.

Yet by the time Telethon '92 came round they were sticking episodes together to beat Eldorado, and were an episode in front for weeks.

They always seems to mention the date and things when an episode has had to be resceduled, and I think it is quite poor that all the work that goes into making the episodes, especially relevant dates etc is wasted when it isn't shown when it is supposed to, it sort of takes the emphasis away. It happens a lot at the minute with Emmerdale, as Monday episode just gone was supposed to be a Sumday, so I assume Tuesday's double was to get things back on track, as tonight is hallowe'en, and it's bound to be a sub-plot
