when they said they wanted Corrie to go back to its roots, we knew the purple rinse hair would return, this time Vera gets to wear it, rather than Mrs Sugden (is that the right person?)

Oh god, Vera with purple hair... she is also one of my favourite characters. Martin, don't you mean Mrs Ogden or Mrs Pearce? Razz Very Happy Remember Phyliss Pearce, with the purple hair? I can just see her now - "Oooh, Percy" in her trademark gravel voice

I wonder why Sally was so nasty to Angela tonight? I mean HELLO its not like Angela asked to be dragged into the whole Witness Protection thing.

Sally used to be so nice but lately she has become moody - she obviously isnt happy with her marriage to Kevin - she should have run off with that dishy decorator when she had the chance!

Because that's how the script writer wrote it.

Well of course that - but why does Sally have such issues with Angela - of course she might be upset that those men came to her house but its hardly Angela' fault.

Maria is also being a right cow too

I was really glad that Corrie won the Bafta last week,
They deserve it. Eastenders is getting so boring, i wouldn't be too surprise if Corrie becames the Number 1 soap again and wins more awards.

Well Done Corrie

Maria has been nothing but a cow lately - well since she came back from Canada.

And no Shelly's mum is right, Maria is so lazy and obviously cant hack the stress of working behind a bar!

Also it said that Vera chucks a brick through Gail's window - and as if that isnt bad enough Gail may lose her house due to her fincial problems.
Funny how ten or eleven years ago if you watch the Granada Plus episodes Jack needed to be controlled by Vera now it seems to be the other way round the way Vera is carrying on. Still Vera rules I don't know where Coronation Street would be without the Duckworths. Very Happy

I watch Corrie on G+ - currently in Mid 1991 I think. Des Barnes has just set fire to his boat and Martin has asked Gail to marry him. Its amazing how different the show was a decade ago - although Gail is just as miserable as she was back then Razz

Tonights Corrie was good - I still cant believe Sally was bleating on about the Nelson though - at one time I really liked her but now she has become annoying.

I think Gail was a bit harsh on Sarah - although this will probabaly lead to Sarah/Todd splitting up and him running into the arms of some fit bloke - I cant wait for that storyline!
