It's funny on Gogglebox when another Channel's logo underlaps the Channel 4 logo.
How so?
I wonder if the Googleboxers watch actual broadcasts when they're made or off-airs recorded by production earlier that they just play back.
I presume its cheaper (for putting together the programme) to use off-air copies, DOGs and all as opposed to go off to production X to ask them for a clean copy? They'll still have to pay for it of course but without the copying fee?
C4 have revealed what each of the regional hubs will be doing once they open. Particularly of note, they seem to be moving continuity announcements to Leeds so we will no doubt be hearing a lot of new voices on the channel, and presumably we won't be hearing a number of voices on the channel again.

Guess all part of the F1 deal but C4 advertising their drama Traitors tonight with no reference to themselves at all - just "all episodes available on Sky".

Additionally, the National HQ will also house other creative departments including the on-air continuity department, who produce and voice the airtime between Channel 4 programmes; and the Pictures team, commissioning and creating images for All 4 and for external media.
End Quote.
I'm not sure that means the CA will be physically sat in Leeds, instead of Red Bee in W12, but rather the scripts, slides, and promos will be produced there (Perhaps at present these are done at HFR rather than at Red Bee ?)

Well it says it will house the department that voices the airtime which certainly reads to me like they’ll have announcers in Leeds. Having a load of new regional voices on the channel would certainly be an easy way of proving that they’re taking this seriously, in the same way they’re currently tendering for a live daytime show from Leeds.
Yes, the announcers are going to Leeds. Could be argued that you get a greater mix of regional accents from across the country already in London than you would there, but the decision's been made.
