Is there a reason why CBBC programmes on BBC Two don't use CBBC presentation? Surely it'd make sense to have CBBC pres surrounding the programmes, even if the CA is from BBC Two.

I don't think CBBC's current idents are good for a CA to speak over. They are too short and the music is quite disracting. The same goes for CITV's current idents. I think that's why they only have CA's over their ECP.

I suppose cost reasons - also they use pre recorded links a lot these days. They probably want to save them for the main channel.

The BBC Two strand has no promotion and probably does very badly.

Ever since lockdown, they have only been live in HQ at 5pm on weekdays.

It’s not live on Friday, either, they have links from home then for some reason.

And they only have generic ones in the morning now, they used to have 3-4 show specific ones.

They still have specific links for 'The Next Step' in the morning with the 'CBBC Dancealong' and specific Friday links with 'The Big Friday Quiz'.

CBBC are live four days a week and CBeebies are live on Fridays. CBeebies pre-recorded links are filmed in the morning and CBBC pre-recorded links filmed in the afternoon prior to going live.

I hope they get two presenters again in the HQ. I know they only have 5 presenters at the moment, and only 3 of them are going into the HQ (Joe Tasker is still presenting from home, and Hacker hasn't done any links, bar a few messages in some other presenter's links, since about mid-March), but the dynamic is a lot better with two presenters, especially considering the current line-up is very weak.

Hacker still does links with Joe.

But it’s not like they share the responsibility. It’s more like Hacker appearing in short bursts.
