I’ve just realised that Deadly 60 is on both CBBC and BBC Two on Saturdays at 8.30am. Different episodes as well.

It was quite moving today on Blue Peter that they took 3 minutes to discuss racism, with Richie and Mwaksy talking about their experience.

I don't watch Blue Peter but that seems a wonderful idea. Well Done BBC Thumbs up

That's gone viral today. What's confused me though is a tweet from CBeebies saying it would be airing there at 5pm today - is that a regular thing now?

Also the BBC archive has the issue of apartheid being discussed by Diane Louise Jordan back in 1996 when they went to South Africa.

Don’t suppose anyone saw any continuity around Blue Peter, I was intrigued to see what happened.

I can understand 4 and 5 year olds watching it, but in last nights show alone, they talked about racism and showed a moving film about plastic. Surely this is going to upset some 2 year olds?

Interesting article interviewing TV puppeteers including the people who had their hands up Edd The Duck, Gordon The Gopher and Otis the Aardvark

Great article. Sad to read that there’s not much left of Otis though! Very Happy

Doesn't Kirsten O'Brien have one of the others?

Otis appeared on the CBBC 25th birthday back in 2015, so there was something left of him then!

Didn't the creator of Otis go on to do some of the later puppets?

Love the origin stories of them though - I suspect nowadays if CBBC got a new puppet they'd be months of focus groups and audience testing to ensure it achieved what they wanted it to achieve.

I know that Dave went on to puppeteer Stanley in the latest series of Saturday Mash-Up.
