The CBBC look has been updated over the 7 years, the move to Salford helped by changing the set, and it's something that works. However as a child I used to always love a relaunch or change in presentation, maybe the kids of today are hopeful of that too.

As for the tweets, it's a shame that the screens are staying. With their black lines breaking up the bigger image I don't think they work well.
Interesting that they will be using the breakfast/NWT set for pre recorded interviews. Surely they should have been the design of their smaller studio on that. I'm intrigued by what the new logo will be. The simplicity of the current one is what has enabled it to be used for over 12 years.

Funnily enough, I just turned CBBC on and it seems they've got a new range of idents.

It also seems they have ditched the 6:55 Newsround.

From a quick look on iPlayer it does appear so! Bit of an odd mix at the moment, with the in-vision continuity using background music from the last package and then these completely different idents. I have seen two from a skim-through of live restart and I'm not sure what to make of them - they've got some young-sounding children shouting in a sing-song style 'CBBC' at the end which jars when the next programme is called 'Teenwolf' and looks to be something aimed at a slightly older audience.

The children shouting 'CBBC' sounds very Cbeebies. Especially when the programme Wolfblood Wink is for an audience for up to sixteen year olds.

They've had the children shouting variant for a while, is it the same one that contains the laugh at the end? It just shows how they can keep it fresh. Obviously ones relating to past programmes have been dropped, but nice to see that the Shaun the sheep ident keeps popping up every now and then.

No, these children sound considerably younger.

Has CBBC got brand new Idents? in line with the current look which has been in use since 2010?

Yes - as discussed in the Newsround thread.

And the current look has been in use since 2007 - the logo was slightly updated to look more 3D in 2010.

[[Mod note: The posts from the Newsround thread have now been merged into this topic.]]

Just to ask when were these idents added?

I noticed them on Saturday - maybe used from before then.

And I've just noticed that they are no longer using the old bed, but a new one which sounds like the ones in the ident.

New bed being used - and not the same as the one composed by Adelphoi in 2007.

The new music is ok on the idents, But it get's really annoying really fast. The new idents will date far worse than the old. There is one ident with the current Newsround logo which will be out of date in less than a month. CBBC needs a proper new look! The new idents are not the worst I have seen but all the info boards are awful and ugly. Overall not really ovally impressed by the new look and hope something proper will come very soon! (which it won't)
