I really think they wasted Jamie Pugh's talent there. You could see his potential from his audition and the song was awful - Paul Potts' confidence was never an issue when he won.

LOL. Tough call between Shaun and Gareth tonight. Obviously Gareth adds that bit of variety, but if they do let singers in they've can't be penalised for it.
Personally I'd have put them both through over Flawless, but technically at least they were superb - I just don't think they're as entertaining or as likeable as Diversity. And them both making the finals means neither has any chance at all in winning as the vote will be split.
I didn't really want another singer getting through, otherwise we may aswell be voting for The X Factor... I much preferred Gareth to Shaun anyway. Shaun can sing, granted. But I bet he can't do it without opening his mouth!

I completely agree, after all Flawless and Diversity are practically the same act anyway.

Last night's show was a bit of a two horse race, therefore IMO the right two went through on balance, though Gareth had potential.
DJ Talent had a funky beat to it, though I wouldn't say he was a "rapper" by any stretch of the imagination. I think it's much better if you're able to make it up as you go along. Merlin - you just knew there was no way the bloke would be left to die live on air aka Tommy Cooper so it was a bit of an anti-climax. Piers summed it up with the Hot Honeyz - "Lukewarm". Very nice to look at but meh, the audition was better. Jamie Pugh deserves kudos for throwing himself in at the deep end with little confidence or self-belief but you could see he was out of his depth with that performance. Peter Coghlan is a mystery to me as to how he made it to the Semis and the less said about that act the better. "A fat bloke in a red wig". Gareth Oliver was a charming act, not a unique idea but the puppet was cute. Shaun Smith didn't do a particularly impressive cover of 'With Or Without You' as I think it's totally the wrong song for his voice and he wouldn't be out of place on X-Factor either. Flawless lived up to their name. Technically the act is better than Diversity, but Diversity is more likeable. that said, a dance-off would be too close to call.
The latest betting odds for BGT suggest Susan Boyle is favourite to win (8/13), though Aidan Davies (6/1), Flawless, Shaheen Jafargholi (both 8/1) and Diversity (10/1).

Most people are saying that Susan will win and the show's already finished but I think it's more likely going to be a case of "everybody's voting for her so I won't" in which the outcome could be very interesting like so many of the public votes on all shows these days.

The ratings for this series are out of this world really. I believe last night's show was the highest rating ever for BGT and also beats any episode of The X Factor or Pop Idol
Regarding the Singers, Dancers, Variety discussion, the variety is good for the auditions and semi-finals but would never win, it's always going to be a singer or a dancer
