There's a BBC Two Family Guy promo running featuring Brian Cox, with Cleveland commenting on how slow he speaks.
If you watch BBC TWO NI, you get to hear a mock announcement by one of the local CAs as well as the Paint ident in the background - lovely attention to detail NI!
I'm not too fond on the slow down as the 2 lands. Looks amateurish, IMO.
I, personally, would always prefer the idents to be left unaltered, but there is one thing about this particular ident that may be noteworthy. For unknown reasons, the ident's motion freezes relatively early on. Due to the slowing down of the footage in the new edit, the point in which the ident's motion freezes occurs far later (approx. 16" in with this new edit, compared with approx. 6" in with the original). Having said that, I do accept that the motion is only slight at the point in which it freezes, and probably won't be noticeable to many.

A neon Now and Next slide - very nice. But what about the Sundays Don't Stop promo?
I like it. It felt very 90's BBC Two to me.....before Three stripped it of it's edgier shows. I was against the axing of BBC Three originally but have now come round to the idea. It'd be nice to see BBC2 get at least some of it's pre BBC Three/Four mojo back.
I'm impressed. As JCB says, BBC Two hasn't been the same since BBC Three and BBC Four took away its core programming and left it feeling rather bland. That promo alone seems to give the impression BBC Two is getting back into its groove.

It's one thing BBC3 showing a couple of hours of Family Guy, quite another BBC2.
While I agree it might be nice for BBC2 to get some of it's useful energy back it would still be a traversty to lose BBC3, and as BBC2 stands at the moment unless they get Newsnight out of the way there are only pockets of the schedule which could be made available to the BBC3 audience.
Family Guy is still scheduled for next Sunday on BBC Three from 11:45pm, straight after the BBC Two stack, according to the Sky EPG, then American Dad at 12;10am, then Family Guy again at 12:30am according to the BBC's TV guide. Plenty of Family Guy for want of a flick from BBC Two to Three.
No secret has been made that Family Guy will continue to get repeated on Three, up until it moves to ITV2 so in the grand scale of things and for the near future nothing really changes. That new episode will almost certainly show up on either Thursday or Friday of the same week on Three.
