Rather sadly it cuts out most of the bit that was silent for the first few minutes!
Bleeps out the words used to by the bus conductress as well! She'd be a member of UKIP these days.

It’s quite frankly astonishing that that recording exists at all, let alone survived forty years before being found.

Since the Ariel article was published, the engineer who made the original recording, now retired, has been in touch with the BBC and I have since had the opportunity to meet him. He informed me that the recording itself was an achievement against adversity! Although the power hadn't failed at Kingswood Warren, the power cut in the centre of London had caused the power supply in the south east of England to alter by several volts and more significantly for the sensitive video equipment, the phase had also significantly changed and was continually changing meaning the equipment had to be re-calibrated on the fly. He described this process as operating the machine "like a spinning dervish with a screw driver"! I can confirm he did a superb job - the recording only loses lock once briefly during the entire broadcast. I've been told that a more recent transfer from the tape has even managed to correct this problem.

And at the end of that link you'll find links to the video in full in two parts

I've noticed that BBC Northern Ireland have recently added the "Subtitles" back to their idents.
Given that more or less every programme has subtitles these days, there isn't as much of a need to include it on idents. This move by BBC Northern Ireland seems a bit of a step backwards, given that they hadn't been using it for a number of years, and many other channels don't include it anymore.
BBC Wales is still showing idents without the subtitles.

Yes I did notice that. It has been years since they used subtitles in the corner. Used to be a good way before BBC one Northern Ireland came up if for some reason you were getting a network announcement or not.

This might be me being slow, but after the repeat of "Hospital" just now on Two, we had a sting from the Gorilla ident. Is the full ident back in full circulation or just a one-off? It wasn't followed by the ident afterward.
RE
Gorilla is in circulation as a sting, only the ident is shown in NI.
