The logo may not be burnt into the titles. Possibly they might be doing what Network and South East Today do - it's faded over like an Aston which then fades off after cutting to the studio. Highly likely if they've been upgraded with Vizrt kit.

Though to be honest it's not something special that only Viz can do. You can achieve the same result with a 1989 Aston Motif (in SD) - or a mixer frame store.

Over on the other side HTV west look like they are in a temp CSO setup now.

Apparently, they are getting the new dreadful ITV News regional set in the next few weeks.

So what did you think? All looks very neat and clean. I'm sure the music will grow on me.

Did you spot the slight interference on the recorded reports? Bit odd.

Good start apart from the appalling road incident reported on, which sadly tended to divert attention from the technical side of the programme.

We'll see the detail on Monday.

I have a feeling that from the quality it was downscaled HD - studio only. I agree there was an issue with reports.

Here it is . . .

Studio looked great, however the audio was slightly out of sync to my eyes (on DSAT). Titles looked good and the local pictures really punched through the white background and globe stripes.

The horizontal lines on the reports became distracting, I hope they get this fixed for Monday. Weather at the end was odd - small grey strip down the left hand edge of the picture and something that looked like a remote controlled car handset for a clicker!
