Maybe yet another New Set.

Annual lighting works? In a big studio it can take a while to PAT test an entire grid and it has to be done each year!

As have a lot of the others - doesn't mean it is a new set, maybe new desk and lightbox panels?

I mean another News set as in the fact that at the moment with EMT getting a 'new' set and the possibility of Reporting Scotland getting a new one recently I was saying that it seems odd that the BBC's had so much set movement in a few week. But as Mike W said it may just be light testing.

I doubt they'll be getting another new set. They currently have what is regarded as the 'standard' set resembling the former N6 style.

Surely the next one for a new set is Spotlight in Plymouth. After abandoning their plans for a new facility at Sutton Harbour, they announced that they would invest in their current home at Seymour Road.

However, I've not heard any news about work starting at the site.

And South East Today have had that set since 2004

Spotlight need a change soon! They've had theirs since 2004 too!

I'd definitely agree South East Today need a new set - they could do with some new lighting and cameras too, everything always looks quite fuzzy from that studio (a bit like Millbank) and the presenters are pretty badly lit.

Spotlight definitely hasn't had their set since 2004 - they got a new desk area in early 2010 and they had a new sofa area put in slightly before that (and that's been changed again since)

This is good news, although not that it will take until October before they are broadcasting from the refurbished studio.

Does anyone know whether Spotlight have anywhere to decamp to for a few weeks while the main work is carried out on the studio?
