I think the flood coverage has been very good, Its been nice to see so much of Lorna Dunkley out and about for a change

Today they must have had presenters and reporters in at least 7 places along the Thames

There is always an idiot though who gets attracted to the camera tonight it was Robert Nisbets turn, A teenager appeared behind him pulling faces and Robert said "oh hello" then he started doing ears and things behind him and pulling more faces so I switched off

No you didn't.

Never mind Lorna Dunkley out and about, great to see Adam Boulton out in the trenches this evening. Nice to see him outside the Westminster bubble.

They have all done a great job over the last week and its nice to see everyone out of the studio for once

1 minor thing is the flood crisis ticker divider isn't lined up properly and looks a mess

Sky News logo just changed about 14:20 and now has a white border round it





5pm hour another new graphic


They haven't shown the flood update graphic for hours though now

Seems like a back up, as it doesn't reappear instantly after the break with the rest of the graphics.

They've also been having major break up problems with live outside broadcasts, even from the relatively dry Cambridge, so obviously the weather is affecting all parts of the transmission.

They haven't shown the flood update graphic for a while either, usually if there is no logo then the ticker is off too speaking of which the black ticker stopped working earlier so maybe the yellow 1 can be put on over the top and the black ticker has been removed too with the normal logo to be fixed

I notice Dermot Murnaghan, Kay Burley and Andrew Wilson have all worn hats today. I think Sky have missed a trick but not producing Sky News branded hats for them to wear.

Odd moment there where Andrew Wilson ran away from the microphone during him explaining how windy it was in Blackpool to lean forward for a few seconds to show that the wind is strong enough to hold his weight, and then ran back over and continued as if nothing happened. As good a representation of how strong the winds are as any, though, I suppose.

I didn't think it worked as a demonstration really. He seemed perfectly able to walk in to the wind and it didn't even blow his hat off.

I thought that about the hats, actually. I wondered whether we'd see one fly off at some point as the winds increase.
