No, you're a bit out I'm afraid. They got the current set (minus the shoebox and newswall) either on or just before the anniversary, but they didn't get the current graphics until the 2010 election when Sky News HD launched. I believe in 2009 they were using graphics launched some time in 2008?
It seems that sky news are moving away from the HD exclusivity they've had over the last few years, on Murnaghan they've removed the side panels and now put the tweets on the lower thirds - I've also not seen HD side panels for some time now - the TOTH on HD is now without the sky news hd logo and is just the standard one, and of course, over the last few months they've changed the graphics so SD matches HD.

Unbelivable I just wanted to ask if the HD side panels still exist

Didn't the weather used to have side panels on HD?

Yes, is this either not the case ?
I've not seen a Sky News weather forecast (or narration ) in the last few weeks so don't know.

The 4 and 6pm bulletins didn't have the weather side panels, so I'm pretty sure they've dropped them too.
