Anglewise I cannot imagine this will be possible with the desk other than you will see a part of the dull corridor, so No?
Sorry to be dumb here, but will Boulton, Dermot etc get any sort of newsroom backdrop at Millbank or is this now it?

Not sure - I doubt they'd keep the window just to look in and out of, so it's possible.

They’ve been using this ‘only breakfast show live from Westminster’ since Kay Burley’s breakfast stint started and I’m not sure it’s ever been a selling point. If proximity to Westminster mattered, GMB is a lot closer than BBC Breakfast but the government don’t appear on GMB, they do go on the BBC. The only real benefit is doing some interviews face to face in the studio rather than down the line, but we’re all used to that from Westminster and especially more so now, so again I don’t think that’s a huge plus either.
Looks very sterile. A real shame as Millbank was a throwback to studios of old and I was hoping the revamp would be more about bringing it on brand rather than just a few screens.
If you're floating about being the only breakfast show from Westminster (is that really a selling point?) looking like a bland cookie cutter studio that could be in the basement of any TV studio doesn't help. The Houses of Parliament themselves don't actually make a great backdrop for morning TV, and we all know that anytime a major or even minor Westminster central storyline breaks she'll be kicked out to host on the green anyway.

I agree.
But the whole channel needs a change. Graphics, music and overall presentation.
It's just so bland and boring!!
How do they expect to keep hold of new viewers, when it is so dull and empty?
This is a wasted opportunity for them to make the channel stand out against the equally bland competition of the BBC, like it used to.
There is no excitement; nothing to hook viewers in.
Also it’d never happen, but Kay’s breakfast show is calling out for an old-style Voice of God in the TOTH, given that this is the USP of this programme. ‘Live from Westminster’ etc

Nope.
They will have a desk and different backgrounds though. The Tonight background looks great, in my opinion.

It doesn't look that bad. Calm down, this hysteria can only be bad for your heart.

Nothing much to add that hasnt already been said, The lighting engineers need to try again as it's just making the screens washed out.
