The coverage was quite good. I did find it interesting that at 9:14 UK time they did a line saying this has been BBC Breakfast and was wondering why they made that line given that coverage would invariably continue. I then realized that it probably meant that coverage would end on BBC One and was used as an opt out cue for World after (Anita?) spoke about a sentence.
I noticed on world they chyron'd the guests names but I would have liked if they would have put up the presenters names for us World viewers who aren't that familiar with the domestic side.
Business Live axed today on both the NC and World to show memorial service being held at Hyde Park in memory of the 7/7 bombing.

I noticed that when trailing the 'Get Inspired' website that the BBC has just before 8:30 they used a BBC Sport endboard as the graphic with the address on it. The endboard is commonly seen at the end of Match of the Day, which has no programme branding but the website link on it, and as a result there was a copyright notice below the URL!

Who composed the Victoria Derbyshire programme's theme tune? I always assumed it would be David Lowe because it sounded connected to the BBC News audio branding, but listening back it lacks the pips or the thunderclaps that are a David Lowe signature, and it doesn't sound much like any other BBC News music IMO.
Irrespective of who composed it, I do like it, and even noticed they had a more subdued/sad version of the theme tune play out to close the programme this morning.

Today is a perfect illustration of the flaw in simulcasting BBC World in prime time. We have a major UK story in the form of the Budget and there's been barely any mention over the past hour on the News channel.

And some would say it has finished as a developing story and been analysed. Now lets see what happened around the world for an hour before its repeated again at 10...

But surely the point of a 24 hour news channel is that if you couldn't see the news earlier, you can drop in at any point and within such a time (15, 30 minutes) you'll be caught up on everything you need to know. People don't generally watch news channel all day long, at least I don't.
