How far from BH is the election studio? Could Huw present the 5 from Studio C and be over and ready to present the 10 or will the 5 be covered by someone else?

It's a good 40mins drive for sure. Am sure they've got cars and copters to get people back and forth.

There are pictures of the BBC News at 10 election studio on TVLive.

Isn't there a BBC News branded helicopter used in one of the NC countdown sequences?

Yes, I believe there is.

I think it is registered as G-TAKE.

I would just think that a taxi would be more suitable for the 42 minute journey (according to Google Maps)

By public transport, it's about 10 minutes from Oxford Circus station on the Victoria Line to King's Cross St Pancras, where you would get a Thameslink train up to Elstree and Borehamwood Station, which takes about another 28 minutes (on a good, non-delayed day). This doesn't include walking time, of course. But it would still be feasible for Huw to get from the 5pm bulletin to the 10pm.

But I'm not sure whether Mr Edwards would necessarily use public transport!

Don't forget the BBC Bus that goes to Elstree! (Actually does that still go to BH?) But no he'd get a taxi...

I doubt it. He'll be given a BBC driver, and car.

Did anyone actually watch the 5 today and see if Huw presented it? (We're wandering into "Presenters & Rotas" territory here so best be careful) Mind you there were a few months where George had to hop between BH and TVC to cover GMT and The 6

Have they completely abandoned the use of the balcony screen for the weather now ?

I was thinking the same thing. I know they were using the screen for the Election Hub which explained why Weather used it sparingly over the last few weeks.

I would have thought now the Election's over, it would be back in use by Weather.

Maybe MediaBoy can tell us?
