We don't really lose anything from not having the weather up there. One fewer "oh wow look at our newsroom!" the better in my opinion.

The studio used for the news at 9 - the green screen one - reflects the backdrop onto the black reflective part of the desk. Is this done by the same technology? It looks very real (the reflection, that is)

Bit of an odd start at 4pm. After the wide shot in the newsroom, we were treated to a reflection of the camera complete with visible autocue.

Do we think we may be due a new countdown remix soon? Don't they usually roll out a new one every couple of years?

Doubt it. It's only been 2 years since the latest version was introduced.
