Why are the lights blue for the 10 o'clock then why do they switch back again to white? I always thought they switched to blue for the start of News at Ten and went to white at around 6 am for Breakfast!
They ordinarily do stay blue after 10pm, although until when after that time we can't be sure because the NC joins World at the 1am TOTH. I don't remember the lighting turning blue for the 10pm bulletin on BBC One so it simply might not have happened for whatever reason tonight - I was watching the Papers earlier and it was normal lighting then too. They had a third guest on because of the Royal Baby, and there was a mildly amusing moment near the start where the presenter had a conversation with the gallery on-air about what paper they were talking about first as they were on different running orders.
The lights in the newsroom are still in daytime mode (white) as of the 11pm top of the hour.
