You haven't even seen the designs? These designs could easily be the best yet you are being negative towards them already. Is it such a crime to upload the logo to see if it's liked so that if it is I can work on the coming up screens along with the sister channels logos?

I actually have been working on two - not done yet but close. I would like to upload them also so that whichever one is favoured I can put together an animation of how it would work for idents.

Firstly, you have never commented on my mock so haven't ever given any opinion on it.

As for the others' comments I think if you look over what has been suggested I have most definitely taken it on board and tweaked the design since.

Two logos is about 100 too few.

What's the point in animating them until you get any feedback about whether they're usable or not.

Have a look at some of MDTA's logo design threads and see the number of ideas he comes up with before creating a post to get feedback.

So you think on top of the new 2 I should create a couple more? The two I'm working with now are the "main" ones the ones I imagine wouldn't just be the default on the channel but the one that would be used as their corporate one too.

I wasn't going to animate them . Everyone is saying not to upload but I was wanting to do so that I could then see which one the forum thought was best and I would then work on that.

If possible and not too much trouble, could you please send me a link? I searched his name but couldn't find the threads you're talking about.

I've had a look and I've seen he frequently uploads different styles of BBC News. Is your advice for me to instead of posting here create a new thread and allow people to comment there instead of having a continuous flow here?

Right, I've been working on this since we all spoke. I haven't yet concluded that the logo(s) is presentable just yet. Nevertheless, these ones are improvements from the last one I uploaded.

Ok I have been working furiously since we last spoke.

I have included multiple designs to allow for choice. Hopefully at least one of them will be liked. These are basic ideas that, in future, will be better executed but I needed opinion before I could go any further - such as creating sister channel logos and animations.

Please be constructive when commenting and remember that these will be improved once a "winner" is selected.

A fairly simple design of a box with the FIVE wrote across it. This could feature some really cool animation if liked.

This brings back the circle with a gradient taken from my initial design. the colouring would of course change depending on programming.

Again, a box but very different. Here the originally colours of channel 5 - when it launched in 1997 - make a comeback. They appear in the same order they did when the channel first launched but are positioned a lot differently.

This runs the same ideas as the previous image but is different as you can see.

Taking those colours - from the previous image and C5's original colours - this introduces a circle. The colour of the circle would depend on time of the day to reflect the programmes that FIVE would show. For example, yellow may be used in the morning to around 10 when people wake up to a bright new day. Later, at around 9 until 11 blue could be used to reflect programming such as CSI. I have also included FIVE News to show how that would work

This would follow the same ideas the previous but instead would feature a different font and not in caps.


Please tell me which you like most out of what is there or just give some feedback.
