I hope the homepage is only temporary, and they create a whole new one soon a la 6Music, which looks really nice.

Just noticed that this

is apparently the default picture for a news story that lacks a photo on the homepage.

This looks interesting... but it kind of lacks any purpose! Laughing

I find it rather cool, nice to see what I've been listening to: most useful if you have friends using the service though, find out what they're in to.

Potentially, combined with iPlayer, it would work brilliantly - as you can 'pop' programmes you like, to see that Mark popped Chris Moyles at 9:23, click a button, go straight to that point on iPlayer - ah, it's a good song.

Quite nice.

EDIT: Except I've just noticed the header now doesn't work, does it?

Looks like the GCSE Bitesize site has been updated...
http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/gcsebitesize/
...which I originally found via the Scotland learning section...
http://www.bbc.co.uk/scotland/learning/

It's only whilst seeing what's converted to the wide format that I've realised how large the BBC website is and how much content it has. I think the new programmes section is helping clean up some of the site where previously they may of had a page for the programme. I imagine the comedy section which currently has programme sections with 'no longer updated' notices on will be reduced to single pages in their 'guide to comedy' page format.

The header has a problem there yes - basically if you select everything on the page you can see the show title to the right of the presenter's face is actually white text. White text on a white background obviously doesn't show up.

I know, I meant 'not working' as in it doesn't work in practice now, the day/night switching.
