Well on the basis that Sue Jameson hasn't been seen for around 6 weeks, and John Stapleton for around 5, that's some holiday. Plus, it was previously speculated that Sue was leaving.

Lorraine Kelly probably hasn't been seen for 5 weeks either, does that mean she's left as well?

Regarding Stapleton, he does come across as someone who wouldn't want a fuss, the way he is quite low key and doesn't turn up on celebrity game shows like others. In any case some GMB obsessive has probably just updated the page based on the fact he hasn't been seen for a while. I can't imagine what situation would result in news appearing first on Wikipedia rather than in the papers or as press release or interview.

It's the summer, it happens. They could be on other projects too.

I posted this tweet by ITV's Chris Ship just after he tweeted it:

You don't have to endure anybody you have a remote control you have the option of turning off the TV.

If you're going to warch regardless that's not a good reason to get rid. If you're going to watch and moan online even better reason to keep her.

I've preferred ITV breakfast to the alternatives since the days of Anne & Nick. The likes of Eamonn, Fiona, John, Penny and Ben were great to watch.

I've never been a fan of Kate Garraway presenting and I do have a moan when she's on, but with Ben back, Susanna and Charlotte it's still my preferred show so I won't be switching off.

Eh? Anne and Nick were the ITV breakfast alternatives to the BBC breakfast service of Breakfast Time, and I think the early Breakfast News? They presented TV-am together for a long time...

When "Good Morning with Anne and Nick" ran on the BBC it was an alternative to This Morning and ran later. The BBC were running Breakfast News against GMTV by then.

er yes.....Anne and Nick were ITV which is exactly what I meant. From the time they presented TVAM I always preferred ITV to the Beeb.....

Looks like they're willing to use Sean Fletcher for summer cover as he's billed as on most days for the next couple of weeks with Kate and Charlotte most days and Ranvir also in the mix too. I guess they'll give him as little as possible to do and have the ladies lead the programme.

If he's one of the main two presenters on even one occasion, I'll be astounded. From what I've seen so far, if Kate was ill, they'd probably stick Richard Arnold with Charlotte before 'promoting' Sean. Rolling Eyes

I'm guessing that it'll continue to be the women presenting with Sean in the newsreader role.

Sean seems to be at the bottom of the pecking order. It took eight months before he ended up in the main anchor role (on the last show of 2014).

And he was fine in the role, did an ok job, I thought. It's with practice he would get even better but for some reason the Editor doesn't seem to think so.

It looks like Kate is the official main cover for Ben and Susanna now, even over Charlotte.

Sean's nice enough, but let's face it, he's very bland.
