I'm pretty sure 'TV' is short for television. As for the rest, no idea.

Individually I can work out all the abbreviations but it's hard to take in reading it as one piece.

SPFL have announced revised TV deal announcement today.

2013-4 deal
BSkyB 25 Scottish Premiership, 5 Scottish League 2 (Rangers)
BT Sport 25 Scottish Premiership, 10 Scottish League 2 (Rangers)
BBC Alba 3 Scottish Premiership, (plus delayed live)

2014-5
70 Matches in total of which 19 are to be Scottish Championship matches. No split announced yet.

BBC Alba will transmit live a selection of 16 Scottish Championship, Scottish League 1 and Scottish League 2 matches in addition to 3 live Scottish Premiership fixtures and their delayed Scottish Premiership live coverage.

SPL was much simpler.

Thanks much easier to read. Aren't Rangers in the Scottish Championship next season and not Scottish League 2 though?

They will be for 2014/15 - were in Scottish League 1 last season (not 2 as posted above). Guess the plan is from 2015/16 the Rangers will be back in the SPL and they'll be hoping the rights value increases accordingly.

Well quite an afternoon, simultaneous FTA HD coverage of three premier sports events on the three
premier TV channels.

Wimbledon Mens' Final on BBC1, UK F1 on BBC 2, Tour de France on ITV.

I don't think I can remember such a day, even when they were the only three channels available ?

Some live football courtesy of Charlton Athletic. Always interesting to see small scale productions like this, might have been worth London Live showing something like this if they could negotiate with the club to do so.

At least 3 cameras and replays in use, would be interesting to know the set up in place. There was also a scorebar in the lower third of the screen, this has now disappeared.

Looks like they forgot to put the time and score on the screen. Shame. They are going to be really embarrassed when they realise.

Charlton might not be providing the pictures themselves, here's the coverage with Dutch commentary.

See S4C have rights to the Tour de France this year - seems to be two hours of live coverage plus a 30 minute highlights show every day. They've also put a tender out for next years Rugby World Cup, which will be all of the Wales group games, Englands opening game plus one from each of the knock out rounds.
