ITV4 have already snapped this one up, as well as continuing their deal for the Champion of Champions.
March isn't good for snooker on the BBC . . . only weeks before the World Championship, plus spring is already a busy period for BBC Sport. They need to fill current gaps in the calendar, such as the autumn when they use to have the original snooker Grand Prix.
An aside, which might affect ITV's dwindling Football Rights, Adrian Chiles has been given more airtime on 5live post it's upheaval announced this morning.
Did Chiles not sign a new 2 year contract with ITV in April? The contract was to only present football on the channel. It will fit well with his new 2 day role at 5Live.

I'd hardly call 3 hours a week to 6 being a triumphant return to the BBC.
It's not as though the BBC is a single entity though, it doesn't think as one. He may have had a turbulent time with whatever department makes The One Show, but 5 Live is something else run by different people in a different city. He has the advantage that he knows 5 Live well and is a safe pair of hands
