Heads-up... New look studio and titles for BBC Channel Islands from 6.30pm this evening.
I live in hope that this means Oxford might stand a chance of getting at least a set revamp in the near future, as it has looked mismatched with Southampton since about 2009.
Vile titles as expected. The BBC definitely need to role out a new template for the regions so they don't just fiddle with the 2008 one making it look awful in the process. NWT anyone?
I don't quite understand why the presenter kept going on about the programme having a "new look" - to the vast majority of viewers, they won't even notice a difference.

I agree, the NWT titles must be the best, with a slight tweak to that music with them too!

Oh, I think they would notice this change. Some new looks don't actually look that different, Considering that we've gone from a sofa based set, with island views, to a desk based set with fake newsroom backdrop, it would only be someone who had absolutely no skills in observation that wouldn't actually notice something was different.
To be fair, BBC CI i think has had the same set since around 2005. So any change is noteworthy. In fact it surely must be a contender for longest standing regional set without any change?
The new set looks a lot nicer than the old one, but no new desk. Not really surprised that it isn't NBH styled given the incredibly low budget for the region.
