WOW! Looks better than the Doha Mothership in some respects.

Beautiful, modern and a really refreshing take on their current studio designs. Great colourful spaces - I really like it!

BTW, that's Joie Chen whom some may remember as an anchor on CNN International back in the 1990s:

Is NY their HQ?

Visually they are gonna knock the socks off of the other US news channels.

I'm guessing this won't be available on Sky?

Looks very "European" in comparison to most US networks. Wonder if it is BDA?

I read somewhere (I forget!) that the sets were made by Clickspring, the firm that does NBC and CNN, which have studios more in line with a minimal European aesthetic.

This will definitely be all United States... unless they want to do an International simulcast like CNN. I wish.

Unfortunately, according this TVNewser's article it is only temporary.

I saw some pictures on the AJAm website, and it includes the channel's lower-thirds... unfortunately, it looks like they will be stuck with 4:3 safe area graphics because of Current TV's lack of HD broadcasts.

Yes, the deal was done as recently as January so finding and building a permanent centre would have put the on air date back a lot more. Looking at the photos and video, they've done really well getting it all together, even with the 14 hours a day of news (AJE started with about the same, for the first few months overnights were all pre-recorded programmes). It will be a bit of a faff having another studio down the road
