Daybreak relaunch with Lorraine and Aled

I really surprised and enjoyed the montage that played out just before the weather at the end of the newshour. Daybreak really has done well from the small bits I see. I see very little after 7:15.

Matt is back as In Depth presenter today.

Just say Ranvir was to take ill before the show, who would do the news bulletins? Lorraine, or Matt?

I would guess Matt would go solo maybe and then a reporter in for 7am bulletin.

Bit ironic Katy Fawcett doing the live OB outside Bill Roache's house, bearing in mind she's engaged to an ex Corrie star herself!

(She also did the live for Michael Le Vell the morning after too!)

Daybreak yesterday got it's highest ratings of the year so far.

Daybreak 800,000/19% vs Breakfast 1,500,000/35.2% though on the overnights. So still a way to go...

Why?

Is it true that there is gonna be a slight change to the Daybreak theme tune from Monday?

I'm guessing a voiceover announcer or an extended/special version of the titles.
