Would like to see Ant & Dec and ITV bring back Pokerface. That was one game/quiz show I definitely enjoyed.

I agree, and the same with Duel too - a great game axed far too quickly (they didn't host it, but I think they produced it). So annoying when crap like In it to Win It runs for a decade.

Dual was a great game,

Saying that Shafted was aswell!

Agreed! Goodness knows why they've never brought it back, I think it did pretty well in the ratings. I wouldn't really care if Ant and Dec host it or not- the format was great.

Always assumed it was the £1m prize that put ITV off - but then again Red or Black offered that on a weekly basis (£500k in series 2) with less viewers.

in the last series there was also that prison island game which was had another set of Z listers.
Lets hope the revival dumps both Very Happy

Wasn't that in the first series and featured Jeremy Beadle.

Banged up with Biddle had it's own ITV 2 spin off show too.

First few series also featured "Ant & Dec'll Fix It" for those Jim didn't fix it for. Can't see them resurrecting that one.

Having just watched the trailer for 'Mr Selfridge' on ITV1, I struggled to believe my ears recently, I know it fits in with the era the programme is set...however, the music that accompanies is the exact same 'showtime' music that BBC one have been using for the whole of their Christmas presentation including trailers and idents...just seems strange that ITV would choose this as their music of choice when it is/has been being used so frequently on BBC one, anyone else noticed this, apologies if this has been posted elsewhere, I couldn't see it anywhere...

Actually ITV first started promoting Mr Selfridge back in August or September using a 20 second promo, and the same music was used then. See here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grQJu-N-5UM (Look at the publish date of that video)

Its just coincidence that it happens to be the same as BBC One's Christmas pres music, but they haven't copied it as ITV started using it long before we saw any of BBC One's Christmas pres.

Strange for ITV to be using such Christmassy music on a trailer back in August. Very Happy That explains though why the BBC1 theme sounded so familiar.

Has this morning's studio been upgraded during the Christmas break to high definition? And are they getting a studio refresh or just small changes? as mentioned earlier in the thread?

They probably have changed the logo because the latest logo was completely different. It was like a cityscape with skyscrapers spelling out the programme name. I can't find a clean version, but this will jog your memories

They used both. They used that one (above) for the titles. The ad breaks still had the logo below:

Following BBC One's over-use of the music through Christmas, you might have thought that ITV would take the opportunity to change the trail's music so people wouldn't associate the programme with the BBC.

I don't see any need to change the music. It suits the Mr Selfridge promo much better, and if people are stupid enough to associate it to BBC just because it's the same music then that's their fault.

Forgive me if this has been covered in this thread, but is there a reason why ITV just haven't bothered with any New Years programming despite being the biggest commercial broadcaster in the country? BBC One have a special Graham Norton Show, New Year Live, and then John Bishop Live. BBC Two have the traditional Hootenanny. ITV took us up to midnight with Bridget Jones's Diary - a film from 2001. Even Channel 4 gave us New Years Specstacular and a House Party set throughout the night, and it's safe to say that both of those programmes - although subjective - are special enough for New Years. Why do ITV give us next to nothing?
