What about the Eurovision semi finals / Glasto coverage?
You'll probably have to do without out those for at least a year or two.
For Glastonbury BBC HD tended (with the odd exception) to just show the BBC 2 programmes (and not even all of those), however last weekend there was 'T In The Park' all on BBC 3 and simulcast on BBC HD for the first time. Theres been some good BBC 4 programmes that have been shown in HD, as well as fairly popular BBC 3 simulcasts like 'Doctor Who Confidential'. Then there is the comment - made at the time BBC 1 HD launched - that HD programmes from 'the nations' would be shown on BBC HD.
As an HD viewer is been like having an extra BBC channel- a chance to record programmes I might have missed on their first BBC 1 or 2 outings, sometimes an alternative choice of viewing- I'll miss its hodge podge schedule!
It is a case of one step forward (all BBC 2 programmes made in HD at the same time as the SD version) but one step back (loosing HD content from BBC 3, 4 and elsewhere). I could see this happening in the long term, but hoped that when BBC 2 HD launched BBC HD would continue as a mixture of BBC 3, BBC 4, childrens and some repeats. I suspect it'll be a good while before we see any more BBC HD channels- they're rather tied down by the 'platform neutrality' stance with the lack of space on Freeview.
