Oh, and anyone else find the Daybreak titles slightly mis-leading with the post coming through the letter box, and the postman walking around?

I'm lucky to get my post by 6pm, never mind between 6am-8:30am!

(Okay, slight exaggeration with the 6pm thing)

Its all about the things that happen in the morning, or what we expect/used to have in the morning.

+Some lucky people get post at 7am, some at lunchtime & some late afternoon.

I hope Daybreak take advantage of the BBC Strike tomorrow.

They need to pick up this audience that will 'flick' over for the news. Daybreak must give the news and deliver everything they can to keep hold of the audience. Tomorrows ratings will be interesting to see!

Yep - though last time there was a strike (that time including BECTU - not just the NUJ) ISTR that the Beeb's ratings didn't take as much of a hit as people expected. Or am I misremembering?

I actually think a lot of the programmes ratings went up, the public like to see how the BBC cope with the strike.

If they went up (and I think they did) it was because the replacement programmes were more interesting! I do remember that there were lots of people who preferred the selection of programmes that replaced Today on Radio 4 last time round

The Ten O'Clock News did better in ratings with Stephen Cole presenting a reduced bulletin than Huw's full programme had received earlier in the week. There's a pretty shoddy Mail article about it.

'Broken' ITV flop in 'name change'

Bosses have already told staff to answer phones with "ITV breakfast" and may make the switch official.

Tainting the show with ITV's name is certain to bring viewers flocking. In other news:

Adrian Chiles to get own chatshow

An ITV source said: "It will be built around Adrian's personality, so it will have humour and be thought-provoking."

Oh dearie me. They really are building Mr. Chiles up to be the next Parky / Anchorman / Burnet phenomenon, aren't they?

Personally, I think the guy is pretty average in all respects. Yet, that's perhaps precisely why he has so much appeal!?!?

I really don't know why all the hype, to be totally honest and without meaning to sound disrespectful to anyone.
