Or, to actually answer Nick's question... Smile

The wholesalers (who we at PA have nothing to do with, it's a different contract system which IPC Media will have established themselves) should have a rough idea that with a TV guide magazine, our weeks start on a Saturday, and that it's their call for the product to be widely available to the customer well in time for the day on which the TV listings start - ie. get the magazine into the shops as early as possible, and it's been agreed that TV guides for week 2 should be available in the shops on the Tuesday of week 1 - that's the way things operate and I can't explain how that's done.

I have just read on the Digital Spy forum that the early Christmas TV Guides will be in the papers this coming Thursday Smile

Saying that we've probably provided most of them at PA - expect one, two or maybe over a hundred TBAs Wink

All I'll say for now is there looks like a major UK TV premiere on Christmas evening on Sky Movies 1

Love Actually?

The Sky Magazine arrived at Harvey Towers this morning!

Hi Col. Do you have the rough early terrestrial listings at the moment. This might sound like a silly question but I'm just wondering if there are any decent old films showing on BBC2 this Christmas. Does it look as though BBC2 are showing a season of early morning matinees this Christmas or are the schedules full of TBA's. Thanks.

Im glad to see my favourite programme is returning again this year! It has proved so popular in previous years that a host of channels are joining in for a multi-cast with the lots of repeat chances to catch it again. TBA - I love it!

Yes and don't you just hate it when there is a big gap in say the afternoon schedule on say BBC1 or BBC2 on Boxing Day from 1pm until 5pm where it says TBA. I often build my hopes up thinking that there will be some big film showing or an old musical and instead when the confirmed schedules come out that the schedule is full of wildlife programmes or repeats of old documentaries (I'm reffering more to BBC2 more than BBC1 there Smile )
I really hope that all channels make a much bigger effort this xmas with the schedules and instead of showing pointless repeats put on a feast of big movies. Oh and there's nothing better than 'The Wizard of Oz' somewhere in the Christmas schedules Smile .

Steve, there are no slots confirmed for the terrestrial channels for the Christmas period yet (except the usual 3pm on Christmas Day malarkey), if and when they arrive and I can get away with it, perhaps by the end of this week or the start of next week, I will do my best to put some listings up.

The first provisional schedule for ITV1 are available for the press to use - but list no films are listed yet.
