Well I heard in The Daily Star that SMG will be dropping the celeb idents. (If I am correct)

I quite like the idents were the blocks were just scattered, and filmed somewhere on location. Prehaps ITV will go along this idea for a new set of idents, they must be a lot cheaper to make, and certainly easier for me to look at.

Personally i'd be really happy if they kept the idea of the blocks in local locations idea. Every region would show their own regional idents before programs. The only generic ident should be the standard one like before Tonight with Trevor McDonald.

So every region would have their own set of idents filmed at local places. I mean they could do loads. They would be really good and cost next to nothing to make!

Speaking of dropping celeb idents, will other regions change their idents. UTV still use the music from the 2002 celeb idents in their idents. Channel use outdated celeb idents too of people who aren't even in TV anymore. Are they all going to change?

It really is out with the old and in with the new 'ident wise' - something never before seen on a UK TV Channel!

Will it be a webcam showing the person in the continuity booth doing the voiceover.

Well that's low cost and something that I don't think has been done before on a UK TV channel (unless you count the Childrens' BBC broom cupboard era).

I don't remeber those blocks on location, when were they on?

The worst celeb idents I remember is that awful one with about four people from the Bill, 3 of them smartly dressed, the other one in this horrible bright shirt. He was acting so stupid dancing round on the yellow blocks, the others just looked at him and then at the floor with a completely fake smile. The annoying thing was, the weird bloke was enjoying it! That's not what the ITV idents are about! It's about dull celebrities having as little fun as possible in a sea of different coloured blocks!

Another awful one was that woman who threw her script up and laughed at it coming down (see images above). Is she even a celebrity? I don't recognise her from everything! She was in another one were she sat down reading her script, laughing at parts, looking shocked at others, and somewhat surprised as well! Trust me, when you see the ident again, think about what I just said!
