Does anyone have a rough idea how the new ones will look?


I imagine that ITV will reveal all in the next few days with images probably available from some television websites, as was the case last year.

I wonder if there will be some teasers this week on ITV1 preparing us for next weeks new look? Or whether there will be a few mistakes and resulting in the new identities being played too early?

We shall have to find out! Bring back the Central Cake - that's what I say! Laughing

Or the Thames skyline (the Thames XXI version which IMO was the best) Wink

Just out of interest, were there any notable ITV celebs who didn't get an ident? I was just thinking today I don't remember seeing a Trisha one... or maybe I've deliberately blanked it from my memory.

Im sure there WAS a Trisha ident but only in the first incarnation of the celeb idents. I dont think there was a Trisha ident in the second (current) incarnation though.

They probably decided not to do another one when she started getting arsey about her contract!

A friend of mine who works at STV said they won't be having a new look on Monday .As far as they are aware it's only the launch of ITV 3.

Well SMG have never updated the idents as ITV 1 did and they do look tired now .My friend said that when she asked about the new look they didn't even know that ITV 1 were having a new on air look and it was just ITV 3 that was launching on Monday .

When ITV 1 launched in Oct 2002 SMG did not relaunch until Jan 2003 so they maybe doing the same thing this time waiting for new year .

Has this relaunch actually been confirmed anywhere. I get this horrible feeling we'll all tune in at 9.25am on Monday and see Cat Deeley prancing about on the catwalk set or something equally old. It seems very low key
