Observation from this lunchtime's Look North - Clare frisby did the bulletin from the sofa area of the Look North studio, and Paul Hudson did the forecast from the sofa area's weather screen. Is this a new arrangement or a one-off? InTune, can you shed any light on this?
Tonight's Calendar was presented by both Duncan AND Christine live from Grimsby. There was a short news round-up from the main studio. The timing at the end went a bit wrong.
There was also a special 'Calendar News' DOG which covered up the huge 'ITV News' DOG on the exclusive footage
On Look North and the Leeds show is covering the story as the lead, with a picture of Huntley replacing the 'window'. Unusual as its not really anything to do with this part of the region. The Hull show seems to have an unusual breaking news style caption on screen

They seem to be sharing that man outside the Old Bailey with Look East, simulcasting his first report and link, then they spoke to him in turn while the other region was in a package. No idea which one he actually belongs to, if either. At least the BBC aren't wasting money on two reporters..

He name is Kim Riley and he is BBC Look East's Chief Reporter.
He was been with Look Eat for decades.
Can I say how poor the window behind the presenters in the Look North Hull broom cupboard is. In the summer it's fine, you can make out the Humber Bridge, in the winter with the dark nights, it just looks like a few random lights on a black background. Poor.

Given the sombre nature of today's events, I think the last thing to cross viewers' minds will be what the window shows.........
Anyway, the reason the Humber Bridge is so un-illuminated is that wildlife people thought any further illumination of the bridge would have a negative impact on the birdlife of the area and there were protests about too much light pollution too.
