Interesting that ITV has picked up The Price is Right with Alan Carr again, along with new Epic Gameshow which seems separate to it.

Channel 4 tried and failed with this a few Christmasses ago. So will be interesting if ITV can make it more successful, indeed how it can happen in a COVID world too.

Also nice to see a focus on the telly archives with a Paul Sinha quiz on Classic TV along with documentaries on SM:tv Live and Mr Bean.

The word "special" has never been more wrongly used.

Easy to mock but for some this year that'll sadly be the only familiar company on Christmas Day.

Was there anything stopping them from trifling through the archives to air some classic Christmas telly or would've that made BritBox more worthless?

I guess it’ll be the first time in a very long time that there’ll be some kind of normality in the breakfast slot on Christmas Day. I know GMTV used to put on a taped studio based show for a while on Christmas mornings for a few years in the 1990’s.

To be fair in the circumstances ITV’s line up doesn’t seem too bad. As said we may mock GMB, Lorraine and This Morning for being shown on Christmas Day, but at least it’s something.

Do we think these programmes will be pre-recorded like GMB's 'Best of 2019' special which they did last year on the 27th of December

I believe its a Christmas special which was recorded at the same time as the last series of Epic Gameshow

And then a new series of Epic Gameshow separate to that

The chances of any of these shows being live on Christmas Day are very slim.


When has ITV ever shown ancient repeats at Christmas in the last 10 years,

Stopping them doing that compared to what?

These programmes are instead of CITV and probably one old film in the morning
