Two word answer to the question at the end of the previous page-Clock Changes (aka we've just changed ours on Sunday and the US don't change there's til this weekend.)

Question... why was Katty and Christian on world at 9pm Uk time. But not shown on the Uk news channel? I would have thought even due to the time difference as it’s an hour of news they could still simulcast both anyways.

Katty Kay was on the BBC News Channel at 9pm presenting WNA. Katty and Christian are 9:30pm on both channels as explained upthread.

World News America at 9pm because it’s sold to partners in America it has to go out at 5pm EST. So can’t be a full hour.

Katty Kay was on the BBC News Channel at 9pm?

It's due to the clocks going back in the UK. All will be back to normal hopefully when the clocks in the US go back on Sunday the 1st.

Yes, I know that.

Affi_85 claimed Katty and Christian were on World but not NC at 9pm. But Katty was doing WNA at that time, so that would be impossible.

Anyone notice a significant drop in weather forecasts on the North American feed? About half the time the forecasts are no long there. Is this some redundancies or just fitting in another ad time of thing?

You should still have the forecast at :26 each hour. The extended forecasts close to the top of the hour can be replaced by advertising if required (these extended forecasts typically fill the slot that would have once been filled by several minutes of the Breakfiller and are available for sponsorship).

The long-running Reporters strand is returning to BBC World News this weekend, with a 10 part "US Reporters" series. Reporters has been on the channel in various guises since Autumn 1997.

On Wednesday 4th November, Outside Source will be on air on BBC World News an hour earlier than normal at 1800 UK, filling in the gap between the afternoon and evening NC/WN simulcasts while BBC NC is showing the BBC News at Six. OS will finish an hour earlier on BBC WN (but at the same time as normal on BBC NC) to allow for a two hour Katty and Christian show.

They’ve been gone for a while now. On occasion they’ll appear. Maybe the local cable company is selling ads for that time.
