As was being said earlier in the thread, the logo looks to be staying. I would have guessed that the new style logo would have been used from Next Tuesday, with a duplicate trailer with the current logo to use up until then.

This is likely wishful thinking on my part, but maybe they've got two version of the backdrop with each version of the logo. So that if something goes wrong with the launch of the new logo (and presumably new graphics), the current graphics are still there and the backdrop wouldn't look out of place.

Haven't we already seen the new logo aired prematurely on another channel?

EDIT: Yep. The new logo has already appeared on air elsewhere.

Mentioned on the 30 July 2020 by Rob. IKL will be from 10–11am, after Burley and before Boulton.

Is the IKL studio set to receive a face-lift? No doubt it will. It's had more nips and tucks than Simon Cowell! The sneak preview of the new Westminster set gives the impression the IKL set could easily be made to look similar. There's space for an outlook towards the CNBC newsroom with a corner wall that could have the city backdrop. If they aren't doing this, they should! The current set could best be described as 'miserable'.

I don't think there are any plans for changes to either of the city studios at the moment. Considering they only launched the new studios at CNBC last year, it would be a bit early for a dramatic change in set.

A member of the legal team in Greece just swore on Sky News - apparently quoting Harry Maguire - followed by a hasty apology by Martha Kelner and then Isabel. Oops!

Thanks to Kay Burley’s Instagram Stories, we’ve now seen the whole Westminster set really. It looks to be a combination of large screens and the view of the newsroom/gallery, with blue lightboxes underneath.

The graphics on the screens have ‘NOT FINAL’ in the top corner, so presumably they’ll be updated with the revised Sky News logo by Tuesday. Graphics look to be the same on the monitors, but I guess these could still be updated before Tuesday? Though if they were doing a full rehearsal and had new graphics to use, would they not do the rehearsal with the new graphics package?

Another Kay Burley sneak peak at the new Millbank set - including her pointing out that the big screen graphics are “not final”! https://www.instagram.com/p/CEWP9_dBUEK/?igshid=1p8berd8umjxa

Edit: ah, I see Aaron_2015 and I are of the same mind...

Pretty sure in that context it is within the guidelines anyway.

Seen a few bits of graphics in reports recently that seem to suggest the direction they’ll be going in (and match up with what we’ve seen of Kay’s new show) - namely plain white text (in the Sky font) on top of full screen stills (rather than the current house style where white and blue framing is used, in keeping with the horizontal / vertical lines design). Could be wrong but I’ve spotted it a few times now.

So I gather from the video that the mini gallery at millbank is gone now and it is controlled by sky central.

I think it has been controlled remotely from Sky Central for many years. (Though that doesn't necessarily rule out your point that the Millbank gallery is potentially entirely removed.)
