I'm pretty sure that ITV's football (what's left of it) is being done from BT Sport/Timeline in Stratford.

Ah ok. This article about the launch of ITV’s current sport studio in 2016 suggests London Studios. That presumably changed since then. https://www.disguise.one/en/showcases/tv-broadcast/itv-sport-studios/

Yes, the thing that changed was that they closed the studios Wink

So today, Thursday 31st May 2018, is the last ever day of The London Studios on the Southbank after 46 years of recording.

Massive shame. RIP Studio 7. My favourite ever studio, especially when it was used by Daybreak.

Now we await the wrecking ball moving in to tear down Studios 1, 2 and 3. I wonder how fast they will go in demolishing the current structures?

Depends. If there's asbestos in the building, it could be quite a slow process. If not, parts of it could be done quite quickly.

I can't see the tower coming down that quickly. Given it's a heavily built up area with lots of surrounding buildings, they can't just blow it up, so it will probably have to be dismantled from the top down, which could take a while.

I thought studio 3 was daybreak

Only Daybreak v2 (Lorraine & Aled). Version 1 was in TLS7

Well first ITV will have to decommission and remove/sell the contents, then it will be handed over to the builders who will soft strip the building before the demolition machines roll in.

I'm sure I read that that ITV are handing it over around September time

The planning application has a demolition plan showing how it will be done

Is anything being donated? like to the TV museum in Bradford?

I am guessing the tower block will be the one which will be the hardest to demolish and rebuild. The famous Kent House. Such an icon of London Weekend Television. Part of the London skyline will change now in a few years time.

Yeah it’s a shame to see the end of Studio 7, fantastic view of London from there.

You mean the Science and Media museum that doesn’t have many TV artefacts on public display anymore.
